1864 in Orwell, P.E.I., fourth of the ten surviving children of William McPhail* and Catherine Elizabeth Smith; m. 19 Dec. 1893 Georgina Nightingale Burland (d. 1902) in Montreal, and they had one son and one daughter; d. there 23 Sept.
