With a year to go for its centenary celebrations, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has gone for infusion of some young blood into the top rungs of the organisation.

At the three-day meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, its highest decision-making body, that concluded in Nagpur on March 17, the RSS got two new sah sarkaryavahs (joint general secretaries) in Alok Kumar and Atul Limaye.

Kumar and Limaye, both in their fifties, join the four other sah sarkaryavahs: Krishna Gopal, Arun Kumar, C.R.

Mukunda and Ramdatt Chakradhar. In the process, the meeting of the Pratinidhi Sabha relieved veteran Manmohan Vaidya of his responsibilities as joint general secretary.

The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha also re-elected sarkaryavah (general secretary) Dattatreya Hosabale, who had taken up the position in 2021, for another three years.
